Kentucky Camp Company

We have been camping and exploring our public lands for decades. Three important lessons have emerged: Our public lands are a national treasure, spending time outdoors is good for the soul, and the US Forest Service Campgrounds are amazing gateways to Kentucky’s natural treasures.

We want others to share the peace, connections, and convictions that spending time in nature can inspire. Kentucky Camp Company makes it easy for anyone to go camping by providing a simple, streamlined process to connect you to a beautiful campsite equipped with top-of-the-line gear.

Our public lands

Kentucky Camp Company operates in the Daniel Boone National Forest under a permit from, and in partnership with, the USDA Forest Service.

The Forest Service’s mission is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the Nation’s forests to meet the needs of the present and future generations. We are grateful for this partnership for many reasons, perhaps most importantly, because we have a shared goal of connecting people to the land and one another. About Us

Kentucky Camp Company is a community-focused, family-led idea from Jarah Jones, Shane Tedder, and our children Pax and Isabel. Jarah has invested her professional career planting the seeds and nurturing the roots of children’s creativity. Shane has spent the past two decades working in higher education to develop and support programs and policies that balance environmental stewardship and community well-being with economic prosperity. For our family, camping and exploring our public lands have provided a space where this professional work intersects and enriches our personal lives. We want others to share the peace, connections, and convictions that spending time in nature can inspire.
